Back To Back Wins Starting Off The Second Half

After a big win on the road last night the Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers were looking to carry the momentum back home as the team hosted Grand Falls.

The teams would spend the first 20 minutes feeling out each other, the Ramblers would take the lead about five minutes into the game with Alex Christmas scoring his eighth of the year. That would be the lone goal of the period, Rams lead 1-0.

The action would pick up in the second with some big hits and a lot of goals. Mark Corbett would start the scoring in the second, he would be followed by Drew MacIntyre and just 15 seconds later Jack O’Blenis would add to the lead sending the Ramblers to the intermission with a  4-0 lead.

The offense would keep rolling in the third with Coen Strang tucking home his ninth of the season to make it 5-0. Grand Falls would end Jack Howatt’s shutout bid with 5 minutes to go in the game. Jack O’Bleins would get his second of the game to restore the five-goal lead, but Grand Falls would keep pushing scoring twice before the end of the game. The Ramblers would walk away from this game with another 6-3 win.

The Ramblers will look to keep the good times going as they head back to Berwick this Friday before returning home for a game with massive playoff implications against the Truro Bearcats on Saturday night.
