Comeback Win Over The Division Leaders

The Ramblers picked up their third win in row tonight as they pick up a 4-2 victory over the Yarmouth Mariners.

It was tense times to start the game with the Mariners getting out to an early lead on the powerplay, Yarmouth would tack on another to take a 2-0 lead into the second.

After the first the Ramblers would get back into the game with Coen Strang scoring from the point on the powerplay to draw us to within a goal, and with 5 minutes to go in the second Christian Reardon would get that goal, powering the puck through the Mariners goalie to tie the game heading to the third.

The third would be as high action as it gets, and six minutes into the third Anthony Gaudet would bring the fans to their feet, sending the Rams to the lead and the would not look back. Entering the last couple minutes of this one the Mariners would pull the goalie and pile on the pressure. Jack Howatt would make a handful of his 40 saves to keep us in the lead. Brandon Cormier would poke the puck off the Yarmouth defender and seal the deal on the empty net to give us a 4-2 win.

We’ll look to extend our win streak Thursday night as we host the Valley Wildcats, note the start time is 30 minutes later then usual, gametime is 7:30.
