In the first power rankings from the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL), the Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers are ranked at number 8.

The Ramblers currently sit with a record of 4-0-0-0, good for second in the MHL South division, Ramblers have been an all-around solid team to start the season, leading the way is the special teams play with the Ramblers powerplay firing at 36%, the second best in the MHL, and the league-leading penalty kill which comes in at 94%.

Amherst has also had some big help up front from Mathis Perron, current MHL points leader, and Charles-Antoine Lavallee, who is tied for second in points. The back end for the Ramblers has also been sturdy, with returning defenders Coen Strang, Cole Gosse, and Owen Aura logging big minutes for the team. Goalies have also played a huge role in the Rambler’s hot start, with Lyam LeBlanc sitting at three wins on the year and Scott Kirby picking up his first win on Saturday against Truro.
